Mount Fuji Pagoda Retro TV DIY Miniature Scene Kit 6 in by Wizardi F07AM15-5-68069

A pink retro television with a long antenna frames a spring day in Japan: a red tiered pagoda and torii gate stand among pink cherry blossom trees, snowy Mount Fuji rises behind, a city tower and a big wheel peek over the hills, and a folding fan decorates the side panel. With the light on the blossom glows softly pink.

A little crafter's folklore: in Japan the first cherry blossoms are said to bring a season of good fortune, and miniaturists like to build this one in spring for luck.

Why this kit: if you love Japan and cherry blossom, this pink TV is the sweetest in the series, and at 78 pieces the quickest build too.

In the box: laser-cut wooden sheets for the retro TV cabinet and the layered city scene, printed backdrop and figure pieces, an LED light with an on-off switch, and an illustrated instruction manual. Not included: batteries for the light, glue and small tools such as tweezers.

Part of the Retro TV travel series: six wooden television sets in different colours, each with a famous city or landmark scene on the screen, so a row of them makes a little world tour on a shelf. Build tip: build the cabinet frame first, slot the scene layers in from back to front, then fit the dials, antennas and light last. Pair it with the London Streets, Paris and New York Skyline Retro TVs.

Size: 15.1 x 8.7 x 12.5 cm (5.9 x 3.4 x 4.9 in), about 78 wooden pieces. A cheerful desk or shelf display that doubles as a soft night light, and a gift for travellers and anyone who loves a nostalgic look. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
