Stitch Greenery Hares, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — two hares race through dense leaves, red flowers and pink foxgloves in a Morris & Co. woodland.

A little stitcher's folklore: hares were long believed to gaze at the full moon, and in old England they were thought to be witches in disguise.

Why this kit: inspired by Morris & Co.'s woven tapestries, where every gap is packed with foliage, this is a rich all-over design worked in full cross stitch only.

Kit includes: 14-count cream Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: full cross stitches only. A frame is not included.

Work outwards from the centre of the chart in full cross stitch, building the hares first and then filling the leaves around them.

Finished size: 31×31 cm (12.2×12.2 in). A woodland piece for lovers of Arts and Crafts design.
