Stitch Greenery Deer, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a doe and fawn stand among thick green leaves and red and yellow flowers in a Morris & Co. forest.

A little stitcher's folklore: medieval hunting tapestries, which Morris & Co. admired and revived, often hid deer among 'thousand flower' backgrounds of leaves and blooms.

Why this kit: it pairs with Greenery Hares and is stitched in full cross stitch only, a relaxing design to work over many evenings.

Kit includes: 14-count cream Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: full cross stitches only. A frame is not included.

Begin at the centre of the chart with the deer, then work the foliage outwards in full cross stitch.

Finished size: 31×31 cm (12.2×12.2 in). Frame it alone or hang it beside Greenery Hares as a pair.
