Stitch Pimpernel, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — mirrored pink poppy-like blooms sit among curling green leaves and small yellow flowers.

A little stitcher's folklore: the little scarlet pimpernel was known as the poor man's weatherglass, because its flowers close before rain.

Why this kit: based on original artwork by William Morris of Morris & Co., it is worked in full cross stitch only and first released in the Bothy Threads Summer 2024 Collection.

Kit includes: 14-count cream Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: full cross stitch only. A frame is not included.

Work outwards from the centre of the chart in full cross stitch, using the symmetry of the design to keep your place.

Finished size: 31×31 cm (12.2×12.2 in). A soft, pretty Morris pattern for a bedroom or sitting room.
