Stitch Flowers in Bloom, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a glasshouse sits at the end of a brick path lined with foxgloves, poppies and daisies under the words 'Leave room for flowers to bloom'.

A little stitcher's folklore: Victorian gardeners prized their glasshouses so highly that a well-stocked 'conservatory' became a sign of a family's standing.

Why this kit: Amanda Loverseed's cottage-garden design, from the Bothy Threads Summer 2025 Collection, is full of small flowers and insects to discover as you stitch.

Kit includes: 14-count cloudy blue Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch, back stitch and French knots. A frame is not included.

Work the greenhouse and path in cross stitch from the centre of the chart, fill the borders flower by flower, then add the lettering in back stitch and finish with French knots.

Finished size: 26×38 cm (10.2×15 in). A gentle garden motto for a gardener's wall or conservatory.
