A little stitcher's folklore: country names for each full moon follow the farming year; the spring moons were named for new buds, sprouting grass and returning birds.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch, back stitch and French knots. A frame is not included.
Stitch the sky and trees in cross stitch from the centre of the chart, add the badger and title in back stitch, then dot the blossom with French knots.
Finished size: 18×27 cm (7.1×10.6 in). Hang it alone or gather the full set of moons.
