Stitch Daisy Window, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — through an open sash window, a white cottage, vegetable plots and a sparkling river sit beyond a jug of daisies on the sill.

A little stitcher's folklore: the daisy's name comes from 'day's eye', because its petals open at dawn and close again at dusk.

Why this kit: based on artwork by Lizzie Spikes of Driftwood Designs, it was released in the Bothy Threads Summer 2024 Collection and pairs with Conker Window.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch and back stitch. A frame is not included.

Stitch the view in cross stitch from the centre of the chart, then add the window frame and fine outlines in back stitch.

Finished size: 25×36 cm (9.8×14.2 in). A sunny view to brighten a room without a window of its own.
