A little stitcher's folklore: in old British folklore the tiny wren was crowned 'king of the birds' after it hid on an eagle's back and flew higher than all the rest.
Why this kit: based on artwork by Hannah Dale of Wrendale Designs, it is printed with the Wrendale brown speckle and includes an alphabet to personalise the card.
Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida printed with an exclusive speckled background, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a cream card mount and envelope, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions with an alphabet for personalising. Stitches used: cross stitch, fractionals, back stitch and French knots. The card mount frames the finished stitching, so no extra frame is needed.
Stitch the wren and daffodil in cross stitch and fractionals, add outlines in back stitch and the French knots, then personalise and mount it.
