Stitch Pretty in Pink, a greeting card cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a feathery pink flamingo struts across a speckled ground.

A little stitcher's folklore: a group of flamingos is called a flamboyance, and they often stand on one leg to save body heat.

Why this kit: based on artwork by Hannah Dale of Wrendale Designs and featured in Bothy Threads' Especially For You book, it comes in the new plastic-free packaging.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida printed with Bothy Threads' exclusive Wrendale Designs speckle, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a card mount and envelope, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch, back stitch and two French knots. The card mount frames the finished stitching, so no extra frame is needed.

Stitch the flamingo in cross stitch, add the legs and feather details in back stitch and the two French knots, then mount it in the card.

Finished size: 10×16 cm (3.9×6.3 in). A fun birthday card for anyone who loves pink.
