Stitch Bubbles and Barks, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a fluffy grey puppy sits in a cloud of bath bubbles, looking a little sorry for itself.
A little stitcher's folklore: most dogs dislike baths because of the loud echo of running water and the loss of their own scent.
Why this kit: Hannah Dale's loose, watercolour-style animals translate beautifully into stitch, and the printed speckle on the Aida gives the finished piece its signature Wrendale feel.
Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida printed with an exclusive speckled background, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch and back stitch. A frame is not included.
Stitch the puppy and bubbles in cross stitch from the centre, then add the fur details in back stitch.
Finished size: 26×26 cm (10.2×10.2 in). A fun piece for a bathroom or dog owner.
