Stitch Head Clover Heels, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a brown rabbit stands on its hind legs with a sprig of pink clover in its mouth.

A little stitcher's folklore: finding a four-leaf clover is thought lucky because only about one in five thousand clovers has four leaves.

Why this kit: Hannah Dale's loose, watercolour-style animals translate beautifully into stitch, and the printed speckle on the Aida gives the finished piece its signature Wrendale feel.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida printed with Bothy Threads' exclusive Wrendale Designs speckle, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch and back stitch. A frame is not included.

Stitch the rabbit and clover in cross stitch from the centre, then add the whiskers and stems in back stitch.

Finished size: 26×26 cm (10.2×10.2 in). A sweet spring gift for someone you love.
