Stitch Love You to the Moon, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a crescent moon made of flowers, stars and hearts beside the words 'I love you to the moon and back'.

A little stitcher's folklore: 'I love you to the moon and back' was made famous by the 1994 picture book 'Guess How Much I Love You'.

Why this kit: designed by Kim Anderson for her Love Collection, it mixes cross stitch with metallic thread and sparkling extras for a finished piece that catches the light.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, metallic thread, sequins, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch, back stitch and French knots. A frame is not included.

Stitch the moon in cross stitch from the centre, add the lettering in back stitch, then the French knots and sequins.

Finished size: 21×24 cm (8.3×9.4 in). A loving gift for a child's room or a partner.
