Stitch Fiendish Felines, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — cats dressed as a bat, a vampire, a witch and a mummy gather round a pumpkin, a cauldron and a broomstick under a full moon and bats.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Britain a black cat crossing your path is traditionally a sign of good luck.

Why this kit: in Karen Tye Bentley's style, it is stitched on winter blue Aida with silver star sequins in the night sky, and pairs with Howling Hounds.

Kit includes: 14-count winter blue Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, silver star sequins, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch, back stitch and French knots. A frame is not included.

Stitch the cats in cross stitch from the centre, add the outlines in back stitch and the French knots, then sew on the star sequins.

Finished size: 30×22 cm (11.8×8.7 in). A fun Halloween piece for cat lovers.
