Stitch Snowy Robin, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a round red robin holds a sprig of mistletoe in its beak on a snowy bank, with sparkling snowflakes around it.

A little stitcher's folklore: Victorian postmen wore red tunics and were nicknamed 'robins', which is why robins appear on so many Christmas cards.

Why this kit: a quick festive stitch with Lana woolly thread, beads and snowflake sequins, mounted straight into a brown card, ready to post.

Kit includes: 14-count misty blue Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, Lana woolly thread, beads, sequins, a brown card mount and envelope, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: full cross stitch and back stitch. The card mount frames the finished stitching, so no extra frame is needed.

Stitch the robin in cross stitch from the centre, then add the back stitch, woolly thread, beads and sequins, and mount the finished piece in the card.

Finished size: 10×10 cm (3.9×3.9 in). A classic card for a nature lover.
