Stitch Wedding Slipper, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a delicate high heel is woven from pink roses, blossom and lace-like tendrils.

A little stitcher's folklore: the Victorian wedding rhyme ends 'and a silver sixpence in her shoe' for good luck.

Why this kit: part of Sally King's Shoe Art Collection, it turns a fantasy high heel into a whole scene, with metallic thread adding a bridal sparkle.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, metallic thread and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch and back stitch. A frame is not included.

Stitch the roses and blossom in cross stitch from the centre, then add the outlines in back stitch and the metallic details.

Finished size: 26×27 cm (10.2×10.6 in). A lovely wedding or anniversary gift.

    I discovered this beautiful cross stich Wedding Slipper and ordered it. I was amazed that it showed up at my door in less than a week!
