Stitch Harvest, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a tartan shoe with a red polka-dot top holds a basket of fruit at the toe, with a wheat sheaf heel, poppies and a butterfly.

A little stitcher's folklore: the last sheaf of the harvest was often woven into a corn dolly and kept until spring for luck.

Why this kit: part of Sally King's Shoe Art Collection, it turns a fantasy shoe into a whole scene, from the Summer 2025 Collection.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch, back stitch and French knots. A frame is not included.

Stitch the shoe and harvest in cross stitch from the centre, then add the back stitch and French knots.

Finished size: 28×22 cm (11×8.7 in). A warm piece to celebrate the harvest season.
