Stitch Christmas Townhouse, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a cream Georgian townhouse is dressed with wreaths and garlands, with bare trees, a snowman, a dog and a robin outside.

A little stitcher's folklore: the round Christmas wreath, with no beginning or end, has long stood for everlasting life.

Why this kit: in Sally Swannell's detailed style, it adds sparkle thread and beads for a frosty finish.

Kit includes: 16-count ice blue Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, sparkle threads, beads, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch, back stitch and French knots. A frame is not included.

Stitch the townhouse in cross stitch from the centre, then add the back stitch and French knots and sew on the beads.

Finished size: 26×26 cm (10.2×10.2 in). A festive piece to bring out every Christmas.
