Felt New Year's Night with this Charivna Mit needle felting kit — the finished ornament is a rounded felted ball showing a snowman family of three in red scarves against a deep navy night sky, finished with a golden hanging cord and bell.

Why this kit: the felt pieces create a soft dimensional finish; the templates and stitch guide make the project approachable; the finished ornament or hoop art is easy to display or give as a handmade gift.

Kit includes: color pattern, instruction chart, Corriedale wool in 5 colors, felting and embroidery needles, Preciosa beads in 2 colors, and metallized mouline thread in gold. Made in Ukraine.

Needle felting is worked by layering small tufts of wool and repeatedly poking them with a barbed felting needle, which tangles the fibers together and gradually compacts and shapes them into a firm rounded ball form. Work section by section — the night sky background, then the snowman figures — following the included instructions, adding the bead snow, gold thread stars, and hanging cord once the base shape is felted.

Finished size: 2.17 x 2.17 in (5.5 x 5.5 cm). A quick holiday project and a charming handmade tree ornament or gift for the winter season.
