Stitch Autumn Landscape, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — golden autumn trees and red leaves frame a waterfall and a distant river, in stained-glass style.

A little stitcher's folklore: Tiffany's Autumn Landscape window, made in 1923, is now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Why this canvas: a reproduction of Louis Comfort Tiffany's stained-glass design printed in full colour on Zweigart canvas, so you can recreate its jewel-like colours stitch by stitch in the threads of your choice.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 24 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Match each printed colour to the thread list, then fill the canvas in half stitch, working the main shapes first and the background last.

Canvas size: 30×40 cm (11.8×15.7 in). A jewel-bright art piece for a living room.

You get what you pay for, this is a printed canvas, the color distinction is not great and the two canvases came firmly folded which creates problems for stitching and weakens the canvas. I cannot speak to customer service because I did not use it!

I was a little disappointed in that there was not clear direction on what kind of floss to buy or how many strands to use for this project. It also took a little time for the seller to get back to me when I had a question. If anyone buys this, I would not recommend using pearl floss. It is not thick enough. Also there was not enough instruction either to match the color to the canvas. Only a small grid on the canvas - usually needlepoint kits provide more instruction. I am doing this but guessing at which colors to use at some areas. I wouldn't recommend this for beginners
