Stitch Sunflower, a printed needlepoint canvas by Orchidea — a golden sunflower with a deep brown centre glows against a rich purple background.

A little stitcher's folklore: Ukraine and Russia grow more sunflowers than anywhere else in the world.

Why this canvas: you choose the thread, so you can work it in tapestry wool for a traditional look or in cotton floss for a finer finish.

Canvas includes: 100% cotton Zweigart 10-count canvas (40 holes per 10 cm) printed with the design in 15 colours, with the colour key printed on the canvas and a thread list for DMC, Anchor and Ariadna. Stitch used: half stitch. Threads, needle and frame are not included.

Work half stitch over the printed colours, matching each area to the colour key, starting with the darkest shades.

Canvas size: 15×15 cm (5.9×5.9 in). A bright, bold piece for a sunny room.

The item is top notch as I expected, shipping was prompt and I was thrilled with the product. In fact I have almost completed the project and am excited to also work on the other patterned cloth that I purchased as well. I love the stamped aida cloth as it requires no going back and forth to look at pattern. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys needlepoint or cross stitch work. So pleased and hopeful that other stamped designs at this price point will be continuously added to this shop's site.
