Stitch Owl, a plastic canvas cross stitch kit by Orchidea — four owls in woolly hats and scarves, one peeping from a Christmas tree.
A little stitcher's folklore: a group of owls is called a parliament.
Why this kit: quick designs on stiff plastic canvas that you can cut out and hang straight away, perfect for decorating or giving.
Kit includes: white plastic canvas, DMC 6-strand cotton floss in 30 colours, a chart, instructions and a needle to make four ornaments. Stitch used: cross stitch. No hoop or frame is needed, as plastic canvas holds its shape.
Stitch each design on the plastic canvas, then trim around the edge and add a loop of thread for hanging.
Each ornament measures about 9.5×11 cm (3.7×4.3 in). Fun decorations for the Christmas tree.
