Stitch Baby Giraffe, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a spotty baby giraffe resting on a patch of green grass, watching a little butterfly, worked in bold, simple blocks of colour on 14-count Aida. A tiny first project for children and beginners.

A little stitcher's folklore: giraffes can see further than any other animal, and were said to spot good news long before it arrived.

Why this kit: a perfect first cross stitch: small, only 7 colours and big 14-count squares that are easy to see and count.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Madeira stranded cotton threads in 7 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Stitch the orange-brown giraffe first, then the spots, and finish with the grass and butterfly using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 8.5×10 cm (3.3×3.9 in). A sweet mini picture for a card or small frame, and a great first kit for young stitchers.
