Stitch Pumpkin, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a round orange pumpkin with curly green tendrils and leaves, worked in bold, simple blocks of colour on 14-count Aida. A tiny first project for children and beginners.

A little stitcher's folklore: an old harvest saying goes that a pumpkin by the door keeps the house cosy all autumn.

Why this kit: a perfect first cross stitch: small, only 6 colours and big 14-count squares that are easy to see and count.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), stranded cotton threads in 6 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Stitch the orange pumpkin first, from dark to light, then the green stalk and tendrils using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 6×9 cm (2.4×3.5 in). A sweet mini picture for a card or small frame, and a great first kit for young stitchers.

    Cute Pattern...too bad it came with missing and incorrect thread colors

    I gave this 2 Stars because the design is a simple, but very cute, pattern. However, the kit I received is missing the darkest orange-red colored thread. Instead I was given two strands of the "pale yellow" that are actually the incorrect shade of yellow. I have only 4 useable thread colors of the 6 colors the kit should contain. Now I need to spend extra money on thread from another shop to compensate for the error.
