Stitch Decorating Double Act, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — two mice in green jumpers and red scarves decorate a potted Christmas tree with red baubles and ribbon.

A little stitcher's folklore: Victorian families lit real candles on their trees and kept a bucket of water close by.

Why this kit: based on original artwork by Sarah Summers, it is stitched on Aida printed with an exclusive woodland background, so the frosty scene is ready-made.

Kit includes: 14-count Zweigart Aida printed with an exclusive woodland background, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch, back stitch, lazy daisies and French knots. A frame is not included.

Stitch the tree and mice in cross stitch from the centre, then add the back stitch, lazy daisies and French knots.

Finished size: 26×26 cm (10.2×10.2 in). A sweet festive piece to pair with Merry Music Makers.

I love Boothy Threads art work. These mice are so cute. What a really nice picture for the holidays. Looking forward to starting to work on this sweet piece.
